SpinLab recognised again as one of the best accelerators in Europe

UBI Global, the Stockholm-based innovation intelligence company and community known for the assessment and mapping of business incubators and accelerators, have released the top lists and top challengers as assessed by the World Benchmark Study 2021-2022. SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator from Leipzig is the only German accelerator among the best in the World Benchmark Study. This was announced on Tuesday by UBI Global. SpinLab was listed as a top challenger in Europe, placing it among the top eight European startup accelerators and among the top 23 in the world.

This recognises SpinLab's "exceptional value to client startups, its value to the local ecosystem and overall attractiveness as an organization" - says the UBI in its statement. Since 2013, UBI Global’s World Benchmark Studies have mapped the proliferation and assessed the impact and performance of key actors in the global innovation ecosystem.

109 accelerators from all continents participated in the benchmarking. UBI Global collected comparable innovation science data on the applicants and systematically evaluated it. Criteria included the number and successes of the startups, the budget size, the scope and type of national and international partners as well as the scope and quality of coaching and consulting for startups. ESG criteria were also evaluated.
